2. Location Data Collection and Use
2.1 What We Collect
We collect your precise location data (GPS coordinates) when you use the App.
2.2 Why We Collect Location
- Verify you are physically present at our restaurant before allowing orders
- Prevent fraudulent orders placed from outside our premises
- Ensure orders are routed to the correct restaurant location
- Comply with our geofencing security measures
2.3 How We Use Location
Permission Required: We only access your location when you open the app and attempt to start a dining session or place an order.
Background Collection: We do NOT collect location data when the app is closed or running in the background.
Retention: Location data is used only for real-time verification and is NOT permanently stored. Location coordinates are deleted immediately after session verification.
Third-Party Sharing: Your location data is NOT shared with third parties, advertisers, or used for marketing purposes.
2.4 Your Control
You can enable or disable location permissions in your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > Sushi Hana > Location > "While Using the App"
- Android: Settings > Apps > Sushi Hana > Permissions > Location
Note: Location access is required to place orders through the app.
3. Camera Access
3.1 QR Code Scanning
The App requests camera access solely for scanning QR codes displayed on restaurant tables.
3.2 What We Do
- Access your camera only when you tap the "Scan QR Code" button
- Process QR codes locally on your device to identify your table
- Use the QR code data to start your dining session
3.3 What We DON'T Do
- We do NOT capture, store, or transmit photos or videos
- We do NOT access your camera in the background
- We do NOT access your photo library or camera roll
- We do NOT use facial recognition or any image analysis
3.4 Your Control
You can deny camera access and manually enter table codes instead. Camera permission can be managed in:
- iOS: Settings > Sushi Hana > Camera
- Android: Settings > Apps > Sushi Hana > Permissions > Camera
4. Push Notifications
4.1 Types of Notifications
Order Updates: Order received confirmation, preparation status, ready for pickup alerts.
Session Alerts: Active dining session reminders, session timeout warnings.
Promotional Offers: Special deals, loyalty rewards, new menu items.
Account Alerts: Security notifications, account changes, password resets.
4.2 Your Control

4.3 SMS Communications
When you create an account or log in, we send a one-time verification code via SMS. Your phone number is used solely for account verification. We do not send marketing messages or promotional texts. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Firebase (Google LLC)
Used for push notifications, app performance monitoring, analytics, and cloud messaging.
5.2 Supabase
Used for secure cloud data storage, user authentication, and real-time order updates.
5.3 Google Play Services (Android)

We do NOT sell your personal information.
We may share data with trusted service providers (Supabase, Firebase, payment processors) who are contractually obligated to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law or court order. In the event of a business transfer, we will notify you before your information is transferred.
8. Data Retention
8.1 Active Accounts
- Profile Data: Retained for the lifetime of your active account
- Order History: Retained for 7 years for accounting, tax, and legal compliance
- Payment Information: Card details NOT stored; only anonymized transaction IDs retained
- Location Data: Deleted immediately after each session verification
- Session Data: Deleted 24 hours after dining session ends
8.2 Deleted Accounts
- Personal information permanently deleted within 30 days
- Order history anonymized but retained for 7 years for legal compliance
- Loyalty points forfeited and deleted immediately
9. Data Security
- TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data
- Passwords hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- Phone number verification for account access
- Row-level security policies to restrict data access
- Access to personal data limited to authorized personnel only

12. Children's Privacy
The Sushi Hana Club App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Sushi Hana Club App uses session tokens, local storage, and Firebase Analytics to improve functionality. We do NOT use cookies or tracking technologies for cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising. We do not respond to web browser "Do Not Track" signals as they do not apply to mobile applications.
14. International Data Transfers
Your personal data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access our App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our App, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date, notify you via push notification, display an in-app notice, and send an email for significant changes. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
